Modern Buddy

For the purpose of transporting my scooter I may need to deflate the tires some (an inch or so, so that Dobby can fit into the back of my RAV4. What do you use to inflate your tires on the go"? Automatic and portable is prefered

but being you will have your rav with you i would just get a 12 volt air compressor
that way you can keep it with your rav and if you ever have a low tire you got something to pump up your rav tire too

I like the Slime inflator. The pigtail can be installed right on the battery and it also shares the same connection as the battery tender trickle charges. It's super small and can easily stash in the pet carrier, ziptied to the frame under the bucket, or just kept in the house until longer trips are planned.

I use my bicycle pump. Works great.

At home I use a bicycle floor pump. I've got a slime portable pump for wander fits, but it's yet to see use. For transporting in a car, I think a bicycle pump would be perfect. It takes less work than you'd think.

Are you needing to lose height just to get it through the gate, or is it the ceiling? When I had my RAV4, I had to tilt the scooter to one side to get the front through, but once it was clear of the top of the gate, it could stand up straight inside the car, no pressure loss needed. Just a thought.

It is the celling that is about an inch lower then the front. The front is too tall to get through. With seat(s) out there is a dip in the floor of RAV4 where I think the front would fit just fine once the air is out some. I am trying to avoid tilting because that may involve lifting the bike (front or back) and I will not be able to to do that on my own with just someone spotting me "in case". I want to try to roll Buddy straight in (I have a small ramp) with minimum to none use of help from a second person. RAV4's are really low to the ground (at least 05' are). Since the scooter is parked right next to my house I also use the additional height of the sidewalk during loading to my advantage. I am worried about tilting the bike because I will be transporting it to the MVA riding test site and cannot have anything flooded because of the tilt.

Slime Tire inflator at my local Target store. It was like $16.00 USD. It plugs into 12Volt DC Power outlet rated 15 amps or higher. they said not to use with older 8amp cigarette lighter receptacles. There is no attachments or tire pressure gages like in the Powersport Slime tire inflator. My question is for those of you who have the Slime Powersport inflator does it have same rating or is yours different then the one I got? I do not mind ordering the other and returning this one but if the one I got will do the job for less I'll keep it.
