Modern Buddy

It fits!!!!!Just finished rolling my Buddy inside my RAV4. I do not need a hitch or a trailer or anything!!!!! Folding ramp, left seat taken out, lean Buddy to the left while rolling it in and it is done!!!!. My mom actually helped me push it in and it was not a particularly major effort for either of us. With the seat out we rolled it in slightly to the left . No lifting whatsoever

It may be a little more challenging getting it out at the testing site backwards but we are going in very early and see if they will let me get the bike out as soon as they can verify it was actually transported to the test site.

what kind of ramp did you use? would you mind sharing pictures and links? i have a scion xB and i've always wondered if i can actually fit the scooter in there as well...

That is the ramp I bought. Because I park my Dobby next to my front steps after theft attempt, when I go riding I have to get it off the curb and on to the street. So I have to use ramp every time. I get a lot of exercise doing that!!!!
It was too dark to take pictures. I will take some tomorrow before we leave. Cheshire was the first who transported his Buddy inside Rav4 so that is where I got the idea. Here is the thread where he had pictures of his Buddy inside RAV4:

Because I took out my front seat my scooter is parked somewhat straighter the Cheshire's in his picture. I am too small to lift scooters so the goal was to get it in as straight as possible. I had to lean it towards me when I was getting it through the door frame. My mom actually supported the back of it while I rolled it in all the way. It really was minimal effort. I think getting it out will be a bit more challenging. We will see tomorrow. Because the headlight is a little too close for comfort to the rear side window I am just going to roll down the window to avoid any potential problems.
On the side note my Mom drives Honda CRV. It is a wider space in the back but the head clearance is lower then RAV's so I so not think the scooter would have fit it. THe scoter is about 43 in tall at the headlight. I also took out the over carpet mat in the cargo space. That was maybe less the quarter of an inch but every bit helped.

A fluffy towel makes a great pad between that headlight and the window, should you need to leave it up. If you can talk anyone into it when you're unloading, a few spotters wouldn't hurt.
