Picked my buddy up from the shop today, and in a bend about halfway to home, hit some gravel and lost the rear wheel traction and layed her down. No damage appears to be done, some very minor scuffiing but that's it. I picked it up, and rode it home, and did not seem to have any issues. My question is, is there anything I should be watching out for? What kind of damage could I have caused that may not be visable, and would I feel it obviously in the ride? Any info would be greatly appreciated, hopefully it won't happen again.

How fast were you going? Doesnt seem very fast if you just got a few scruffs and scratches from the fall.
I wouldnt worry about anything besides cosmetic damage to the paint and panels.

I was probably going around 25•30. I was keeping up with traffic, but I was slowing to bank left up the hill. The rear wheel just slid out from under me. I am a pretty big guy on a pretty small scooter, and caught myself for the most part. I'm 6'6'' and 230 lbs, I'm just glad I had good gloves on.

If you've ridden it and brakes, etc. seem fine you're probably okay. The main thing to look out for is that the front wheel is straight and spinning correctly (you can put the scoot on its stand to check this). It's not hard to bend the forks id you hit the wheel just right. But if there's no fender damage, etc., odds of this are pretty low.

The dealer should have mentioned that new tires have "mold release" on them and can be slick for up to 100 miles or so until it wears off. Glad to hear you and the scoot are OK.
