A local textile artist has designed and made a scooter-themed quilt for us to raffle off at our May Day Rally. What do you think? (be advised, the artist is also my wife.)

That is really impressive! What scooter is the design modeled on. It looks like it could be a Stella.

Please ask the quilter to reviel her sources for the scooter design fabric that she used around her squares? My wife is a quilter and would be interested in this. Thanks.

Nice! Makes me think "Andy Warhol visits the Arts & Crafts Movement."

Looks great! Let us know if we can buy a raffle ticket even if we live far, far away; I'd love to have that quilt to curl up with in the middle of winter.

I'm talking to my webmaster to see if we can use PayPal for raffle tickets. She will be getting back to me on it. I'll post it here once we have a way to do it. The problem is that I am already using 6 paypal "lines" to register for our rally.

There may be an issue if Paypal sees raffling as gambling.
We talked about that because a scooter club here is raffling off a 1977 P200 Vespa.
I'm still willing to send $ to your personal account to get my name in the hat.

PM me if you're interested in the raffle. I'll be glad to provide a snail mail address and enter you in the raffle. Only $1 per ticket. Make sure you send you mailing address so I know where to send it if you win.

There is now a paypal link on our club's homepage specifically for the raffle. The button is located on the LEFT side of the skyislandriders.com homepage.
I will place the appropriate number of tickets in the raffle for you.
Thanks for all the interest.

Well, the Sky Island Riders' May Day Rally is done. Our Scoot Quilt was one by Jim Shanks, who came down from Kansas City to party with us. Here's a pic of him hamming it up with him raffle prize.
I'll be posting more later:
