The tally so far:

MB's two TX expat moderators
One Oklahoman
Three Texas residents

I'm sure there will be more than that! Do I only need to bring 3 patches to give away? :)

Actually the VP of Vespa Club of America is an MB member and Buddy owner, teacherquinn. She will obviously be there and will be riding a Buddy. Awesome! In a double twist of irony, the bozo who runs this forum (that's me) will probably be riding a Vespa!

I don't know why pugbuddy hasn't chimed in, but I'm riding down with him.

It's touch and go for us. My other half was laid off at the beginning of the month. All depends on what kind of replacement job lines up.

And, my best friend from Nevada is coming to town in June for a week. Not Buddy related, but I only have so many vacation days and i have to ration them carefully.

If we do get to go, it will be head out Saturday morning and come home Monday morning...

*sigh*

But I'll hook up lunch or dinner for anyone coming through DFW on their way down! We have a smoker and we're not afraid to use it.

I wish we could have made it this year but we planned something else around that time frame – ridding scooters through San Antonio and area would have been great fun; and Austin is just a stone’s throw away – looking forward to pictures and stories from all that participate.

Well, she IS superwoman, but she's supposed to ride my spare in San Antonio. That would be the one that is about to get torn down to figure out wtf just happened on my ride home for lunch :x

I'll be riding down from Philly...via Amtrak! I am not Superwoman, alas. I wish I were as awesome as all that...maybe when Genuine releases its touring maxiscoot next year???

Yes, lmyers is graciously trailering down a scooter for me to use, be it the Stella (von Tow) or Honda (H)Elite 80.

I felt like a wuss for saying I wouldn't be riding down from CT, all the while ashamed because Polianarchy will be riding down from PA! I don't feel so wimpy now...

Well, if you were riding down, I'd say meet me in Lancaster/Harrisburg and I'd tag along!! MORE fun than the train!!!

You could ride Amtrak with polianarchy and I could try to fit my ex-husband's Metropolitan in the back seat of my car for ya.

Someone could ride the GTS or Stella, provided the GTS is working by Amerivespa.

Aren't you riding your Stella?

I would be willing to ride either in the event that someone wanted to borrow one or the other. The GTS would preserve my left hand a little better. I completed my first long Stella ride (70 ish miles) and it wore on me more than I thought.

I hope you get your GTS fixed in time. The rally wouldn't be a bad place to park it with a "FOR SALE" sign on it.

Roll Call

Here already.
Pumped up after our local shop's awesome ride last weekend.

My ability to participate in all the activities will be limited due to work schedule.
Will only be able to participate in one weekend day's activities.
Just wondering if it's worth signing up and spending the $75. I'm not exactly flush with cash at the moment.
Any suggestions for, or against, signing up? ...seeing as I won't be there for all the events.
I appreciated the feedback.

Signing up gets you t-shirt, patch, scooter concourse and day show, various meals including awards banquet dinner & Sunday brunch, club admissions, luche libre, art night, plenty of schwag in the rally bag, raffle ticket included, river float, and more.

From the post about a week ago on the facebook page http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/page ... 158?ref=ts

I'm leaving Sunday most likely after the raffle so I can be back in Houston before it gets too late that night.

I think they may have opened up individual day registrations at some point last year.

if you are only going for one day, just meet up for the ride and pay your way for whatever else is going on that day. It's not worth it for just one day. I'll be going each day and night :D and my friends live off of Broadway which isn't too far...since i just turned 21 last month, it will be well worth it for me 8) unlike our other friend who is only 19 :|
