I bet you are right - + 10 points if you are getting asked for you identification papers by a cop in AZ (just kidding)

I have a cousin who worked construction in Arizona many years ago. He always made sure to have his driver's license handy. In the summer our family really browns up in the sun. More than once immigration officials thought Larry was fibbing when asked where he was born and he said, " North Dakota."

Maybe, but as soon as he said "Doncha know" all question of his status would have been resolved!

Larry does have the thick midwest, German/Russian accent. Must have confused the hell out of the border patrol.

Kinda like in the movie "Fargo", which was actually more of a Minnesota movie. There was one fellow of Chinese decent in the film with a thick Minnesota speak accent. It kinda messes with your mind.

Heh, my wife's side of the family gets that occasionally. They're all of Indonesian decent(Though my wife is the whitest Indonesian girl you'll ever meet). Hispanics will come up to them and start talking in Spanish, or occasionally they'll get racist remarks about Arabs thrown at them.

In the summer I've had Native American gals come up to me and ask, "which tribe are you from?"
