Is anyone making a big bore kit or cylinder kit for the Buddy 125? I read sonme posts from a few months ago and it sounded like it would already be available by now.

The Buddy 125 engine is one of the myriad variants of the ubiquitous GY6 engine. MRP makes a number of big bore kits for said engine. HOWEVER (pay attention, kids), it seems every manufacturer makes their own changes to the design. The problem then becomes one of "WHICH kit will actually fit my engine". Isaac was correct in saying there is one dealer who is going through the process to find one that fits.

Genuine themselves decided not to pursue this project.

That is interesting to know. I am not sure that i would ever go this route but it seems like it might be cool. I would like to give my buddy a little more top end speed but not much more. I have heard that when you add these kits it makes the 4 stroke scooters very finicky or unreliable. Any truth to this?

They tell me I'm a "BIG BORE" no matter what I ride, but I'd still like to have a kitted Buddy. I bet we'll hear about it when MRP has a kit that works.
