I just got new grips and I need to know which screws need to be removed in order to change the one for the throttle. Can anyone help me?

There's an article here and they talk about the grips. It looks like you just squirt some wd-40 under it and they slide off. No screw removal needed unless I didn't read it thoroughly enough.

I just did this recently myself.

I used the WD40 trick.

For the throttle side, I just slid the new one off of the piece that the throttle cable attaches to and did the same on the bike itself.

It seemed a lot easier than taking the bike apart to remove the whole assembly from the bike.

more important than the grips, it sounds like you are back in commission after your terrible accident. glad to see you are back in the saddle!

If you use WD-40 to take them off, make sure you clean the handlebar with alcohol or glass cleaner before putting the new grips on.

When putting the new grips on, use hair spray, not WD. Hair spray will act as a lube while it's wet, but then it dries sticky.

If you use WD to put them on, you never know when they will slip.

I got back on the road in April, slowly... only to discover that I am apparently still wearing the invisible sign written in spanish that says "HIT ME!" Only this time I was wearing my invisible sign in my car, which they totalled. Again I was not at fault. Actually I did a spectacular job of not hitting the Uhaul trailer that was flying through the air (literally) and landed in my lane but the guy behind didnt do so good a job at not hitting me. This lead to back issues and chiropractors but I am doing good and planning to ride to work tomorrow as long as it doesnt rain. Hopefully I can catch some of you at a local ride in the near future.

I have found using an air compressor and shooting air under the rubber grib removes the grib effortless. When applying the new grib I have used dish soap.
