Just took a Black Cat on America's largest scooter rally

OK, wow. Amerivespa rocks. Granted, as a Ducati Seattle employee, I had to be manning the booth for Friday and Saturday, but I still had fun. And when I got to take a Black Cat and put my future bride on a buddy 50 and go out with around 500 other scooters for the Vashon ride...
Damn...
I could get used to that. Beautiful weather, beautiful roads, good company and some really cool scoots. Already, after just one year on the market, there were TONS of buddies and many of the other scooter owners seemed a bit jealous of thier performance. On rider I passed going up a hill told me she was trying to keep up, but she was on a little 50cc 2 stroke. "Me too," I told her, winning myself no friends at all.
In fact, the Black Cat is significantly faster now that it's been broken in than they are new. I regularly burried the needle (re: somewhere above 50mph) on flat ground. That turned out well as my poor homeward-bound navigation put us on the fast section of hwy 99. Oops.
It didn't matter, the scooters did fine and Amanda still loved it. Looks like i'm picking up a cream 125 for her. Much thanks to the sponsors and the fans who made Amerivespa float, I had a blast. Whadda ya say, guys? Seattle two years in a row?
