What Color is Your Buddy?

OK, let's see what color Buddy is the most popular, what's the least popular, and how many SI jockeys are out there.
I'm including "Custom Color" for anybody who has painted theirs, I leave it to you how you list it if only part is custom painted like mine. I'm going to list mine as "Sunset Orange".

My VESPA

is black with chrome accessories.
It's the fastest pigmentation I hear. Something to do on the molecular level

Mine is homemade red with a piano keys rally stripe and a number of smart-ass stickers all over it...

I would really like to make my cream Buddy unique. I am trying to think of ways to customize mine without being chessy or messing up it's natural beauty. Any cool ideas or pics of yours?

One man's cheesy is another man's art.
Lots of folks here have painted or modded or accessorized their Buddy to make it uniquely theirs. I painted the front windscreen of mine dark green, I like that it's a little different from all the other orange Buddys out there and there will no doubt be other changes over time. My wife just suggested a checkerboard effect for the back of mine similar to some stuff SteMer has done on his black Buddy. Others have painted part or all, and I think some of them look pretty sharp. Painting takes time and effort and patience, but there are other things you could do that aren't so permanent, like vinyl clings or stickers and such. If you search MB on the term "paint" you can probably find lots of pictures of what people have done. My favorite, I think, may be this one:

Let us know what you end up doing and post some pictures when it's done.

No, so far what we have is a poll that shows out of 80 people currently active on MB more SI owners have responded than owners of Pink ones.
We have about 1000 registered users who haven't voted yet.

BuddyRaton, I do not think we are pondering the same thing... clearly I am the Brain and you are Pinky.
Seems like we've got some new owners around here, excellent!
Make sure you vote!

With all the members professing their love for their Pink Buddy I am amazed that this poll shows only 8% own a pink buddy.
Are people who own Pink shy about answering a poll?

On the contrary! I do believe that there were only nine pink Genuine Buddy scooters sold, ever. So statistically speaking, the owners of pink scooters are more tech savvy, affable, smarter, and better looking than any other group of scooterist. And pinks are fastest, don't ya know.

Well, I'd maybe go with fastest based on seeing the way ScooterDave rode a pink Buddy at the WKRP rally, but I don't know if I would assign those other attributes to him.

Actually the first Buddy I sat on was the pink and fell immediately in love but I was conflicted...I liked the orange, LOVED the pink...but didn't think I could carry it off to be honest. Not just anybody can ride a pink one. And I saw the white seat and handles and thought I'd get those ruined in no time. So my husband talked me into an orange, because he wanted to use it too and didn't think he could ride a pink.
Don't get me wrong, I am happy with orange but to this day...I still wonder...

My pink Buddy came with a black seat and black handgrips. The salesman told me it might and actually, I am much happier than I think I would have been with the white.
One thing for sure though, my husband doesn't want to be caught dead on a pink scoot!

Hello All!
Just purchased a PINK Buddy125 last Saturday and picked it up last night. In love Love LOVE!
I'm very new to riding (took the MSF class and have practiced on my hubby's vintage bikes) so I'm taking it cautiously.
Enjoying reading on this forum and learning all sorts of stuff!
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and that pink Buddys rule! Oh, and one reason I went with the pink was to (hopefully) deter my husband from borrowing it too much.

No scooter for him, his thrills come from racecars. But that's ok, as you said, more scooter time for me!

I am really itching to see a pink buddy on the road. Other than in the shop I have never seen one. I think the black and italias are most common in my area

Here's a thought... will they discontinue any colors when the nifty new 08 colors come out?
