the happy ending:
Lets hear it for Gails Harley Davidson!!

http://www.thekansascitychannel.com/new ... etail.html
Radio station 101 The Fox rallied behind Fox and contacted Gail's Harley Davidson, which gave Fox a new scooter.

"And I just want to thank everyone for being so nice. This is all I had was a scooter, and so now, I have wheels again. It just means everything to me. Thank you," Fox said.

I sent them a personal thank you. Even though I do not know Kay Fox...what she had to deal with!

Please be aware of your surroundings when parking! Idiots ARE out there willing to hurt you for your ride!

I saw that clip when it first aired live last evening.

Need to start watching my back better.

Yes, I'll have to be more careful when scootin around the Plaza. I'm glad all ended well, it's bad enough that someone stole her scooter, but kicking her in the head for it just isn't right.

I'm glad she is ok and that Gail's is replacing it for her.

I nearly got jacked on Independence avenue one night. Two teenagers stood in the street as I was going by. I pulled the throttle back and aimed right for them. They got out of the way, but I'm 100% certain that's what at least one of them was trying to do.

She's my mom's age. It hit home.

I'd like to think I'd be all mr tough-guy but honestly I can see how it would happen so fast. I think she did the best she could being she was shoved off the bike. Grabbed the wheel and then the kid was kicking her in the head!

I'd hope that if I was put in a similar situation, I'd at least grab the wheel!

Again a "happy" ending of sorts. It seems like maybe 1 of the hooligans might possibly be identifiable. I hope they get those little F*@&ers

Oh, I don't mean that I wouldn't have done exactly the same thing in the situation where the kids blindsided her.

I mean that she's a lot nicer after the fact, saying that she's forgiven them, than I would be...

I don't think I could be that chill about the situation.

I wouldn't grab the scooter. I'd roll clear, grab something lethal, and let them decide how badly they wanted my scooter.

Yes, that is my scooter.
Yes, I wear a helmet and a FIRSTGEAR armored jacket.
No, I'm not embarrassed to be seen riding it.
