Had my first meeting with the police, and it was rather nice

Post by izark47 »

This morning on my commute at 1:30 am, I was in a hurry and forgot to zip up my outer zipper on my coat. Usually at that time in the morning it is like a ghost town, and i though it's no biggie, but it was cold, so i switched lanes and pulled over to zip it up. as i was on the side of the road a Police car slowly crept up and when he got to beside me rolled his window and asked if everything was ok, I explained that i was fine but had just needed to zip my coat. He said great and I thanked him and he drove off, It is nice to know that even at that time of night they are watching our backs, Also I was so surprised that he came up so slowly that it did not make me feel like i had done something wrong. All in all a very pleasant experience. Thank you again Lower Allen Township Police Department!! Your consideration is appreciated.

THAT is nice to hear...It seems when you get away from the cities the cops can still be decent REAL people...
Speed is only a matter of money...How fast do you want to go?

Saratoga county mounties are terrible, whether you are in "the city" or not. I appreciate a nice cop experience... but around here, they are very few and far between. The NY state troopers (while they have the capability of behing huge a-holes) are MUCH friendlier to bikers and scooterists and more likely to have your back than the town and county guys.
No power in the 'verse can stop me.
