That is a nice approach to the motorized bicycle! Looks nice. I particularly like the leather treatment.

Sadly, in Arizona, they're known as "tweaker bikes" since they don't have to be registered and motorized bicycles with the Chinese 2-stroke engines are often used by those who cannot get a driver's license due to a DUI or possession while driving charge (yep, in AZ they suspend permits for possession as well as using it to leverage you to pay city fines). And, given Arizona's large Meth user population, you can see where the connection is made.

It's a shame, because there are some great custom motorized bike builders like these guys, or Spooky Tooth Cycles in Tucson, AZ.

That is a gorgeous bike! It looks very expensive, though. I probably shouldn't buy one :(

The article in Motorcyclist said they were $3500. But you can customize them of course.

NICE job...

You can build the same thing for less. One of the guys that used to work for me did. Chinese bolt on motor, has about 600 in it. But, he got the bike for $40 at a yard sale...Cool one from the 50's though.

But I do like the way they went with the vintage look, very cool...IF I had the free time that would be fun to build.

Any time you see the word "bespoke," back slowly out of the store without making eye contact with the salesman.

I much prefer http://britonbees.com/. Same concept, but more affordable.

How do you know they're more affordable? Neither company website discloses prices.

Logan's in Mesa used to sell Whizzers for about $1500. Similar, very tempting versions of the motorized bicycle.

They're beautiful.

Ironically, I'm pretty sure they're not street legal in CA. They don't have the lighting and brakes required. Not that anyone riding one ever gets stopped.
