I see from a lot of the posts here that we have more than a few fans of Asian culture/entertainment. If you're fortunate enough to have access to any Korean cable channels, you might get a kick out of some of the offerings from the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS), most notably the historical dramas they offer from time to time. The shows tend to have about a hundred 1-hour episodes each and most of them have a pretty sizeable amount of court politics, slicing, dicing, and martial acrobatics - a lot of it in the "Seven Samurai" and "Yojimbo" vein, but with a distinctly Korean flavor.
The current series is entitled "The Great King Sejong" in case you want to check out the story line. Luckily for me, there are English subtitles (which can be pretty funny at times, but not nearly as funny as some scooter manuals).

Of course I don't get the Korean TV channel.
There are a few shows available on Netflix streaming, though. I have some in my queue. I'll get around to them eventually.
Was reading a lot of manhwa for a while. There's some amazingly odd stuff out there!

I checked their website, hoping they might stream some stuff.
No luck, it seems.

My wife is Korean so I'd like to be able to find a station or two for her mom but I haven't seen anything on cable.

There's an awful lot of Koreans in the South. I know the last time I went to the north part of Atlanta, there were shops, banks, and who knows what else everywhere with signs in hangul.
I'm not surprised here where I am because there's a Hyundai plant to the south and a Kia plant just north of here.

The convenience store where I stop by on my way to work is owned by a Korean guy and he always has the Korean station on. I watch it for a bit. BTW: the Koreans can protest like no others. They have this locked down squat thing going on where they're pretty much impervious to any type of intervention short of killing them, and can go just about anywhere they want to. They're a harsh people, but seriously funny at times. My quick recommendations would be in no particular order:
Attack the Gas Station
The Isle
the Old Boy Trilogy
I saw the Devil

I watched Old Boy while my wife was out. She came home as I was watching the last few minutes. "This is some awesomely effed up stuff here." I started to describe it, then we sat there and I watched the whole thing over again with her.
