Not sure where my post went? Adding a new ignition switch

Hi I posted earlier about replacting the ignition with an aftermarket keyswitch, and can't find it now...
I OWN a 2006 Buddy 50 and it came with no key.
I bought it from the original owner who had the original paperwork in his name, so I knew it wasn't stolen.

Hi,
There were a few replies, but the thread was removed on 10/14, partially because it links to products and contains information that can be used to hotwire and steal a Buddy. Yes, anyone could theoretically look find it online, but we don't want to link to it and make it too easy.
We're definitely here to inform, but we also have an obligation to protect owners. Thefts have been very common this year.
In cases of broken ignitions and missing keys, we always refer owners to their closest dealer. It's the only way we can really help without possibly aiding or encouraging thieves.
Thanks
Ahh. That makes sense.

I just thought it was about the easiest thing in the world to get past. Anyhow,
Anybody have a link to the Wires in the wire harness?
I'm guessing I need a 4-wire replacement. I just can't figure out what the 4th wire controls...
Thanks
The Count
PS PLEASE anyone feel free to PM me if you don't want to post anything for all to see!

Someone may have a photo, but unfortunately the only wiring diagrams we have on the site are too blurry to make any sense of!

There are wiring diagrams in the Owners manuals and in the service manual, all found in the Manuals thread, Guides section. Might help.

It looks like when the ignition's off, the circuit is still closed along a different track - I think, and I could be wrong here - to keep the CDI from sucking up too much juice and exploding.
