oil on back wheel [NBR]

So yesterdaywhen I got home I noticed that there was what looked like oil splatters all over my rear wheel of my sh150i. There was also some oil where I park. This morning I checked the oil and there isn't even enough in there to register on the dip stick so I'm definielty leaking oil from somewhere as I checked it not to long ago and it wasn't low enough to worry about putting any oil in. Luckily I purchased the four year waranty when I bought it and I've only had the scooter for a year and a half so it should be covered. Have to say I really didn't expect any issues with the sh150 since it only has 1700 miles on it. I'm hoping something wasn't screwed up at it's first service which was done at 630 miles.

On the up side it forced me to take the Buddy 50 into work today, it really is a fun little scooter :)

Glad to hear it's under warranty. I have put almost 4k on my PCX, and have had no issues so far with it. You rarely hear issues about Hondas, so hearing about potentially catastrophic oil leaks is a bit disheartening. If you can, post back what ends up happening...

Sometimes stuff happens, no matter the brand.

 That was awesome

On a positive note I had my wife p[ick up some oil at the shop for me as I had to get to work. I assumed that there was next to no oil in the scooter as it wasn't registering at all on the dip stick. After adding about 8oz of oil the level was completely full so it had only potentially lost about 8oz of oil in 1100 miles. I then took it for a test ride and could find so leak. and there was no oil on the rear wheel. I decided to hold off on taking it in as I'm not sure how full the oil was to begin with as I made the foolish mistake of assuming the shop had filled the oil completely when hey did the first service. Now that I know it's full I'll check it daily and see if I'm leaking or burning any oil. I'm hoping I just rode through something nasty and that's why my back tire had black oily crap on it. Not likely but hey, one can hope
