I recently had the opportunity to have a Stella-sidecar hack for a couple opf weeks. My first experience with a sidecar was less than thrilling. The second time was better. I wrote about the experience in my blog:

Enjoy,

That's a lovely blog post

Thoroughly enjoyed the pictures too! I can only imagine how much more wear and tear the sidecar will do on the brakes and steering. Ah...but sounds like the sidecar can be fun!

I enjoyed the Blog. Not sure I will ever try one (riding a side hack) though...

You are right, a hack is a different ride and a bit of an acquired taste, fun though. Also, the PX Vespa / Stella are a bit down on power for the extra weight of a hack which limits the ways they can be used.
There are, of course, other choices out there. Texas Sidecars makes a nice hack for the GTS Vespa. Expensive but well executed. Then there is the Royal Rnfield with sidecar. Very retro! And, as you mentioned, the Ural. A big hulking rig that is really built for the job.

Thanks for pictures and your comments of the Hack. The kids are great and it looks like you had a great time. Just think of the stories they will tell of their Grandpa.
