A job. 3.5 years, now, without a steady paycheck. The unsteady paycheck, East Side Scooters, closed right after winning "Best Scooter Shop" four years running.

According to past posts in other threads, and from other reviews ( http://www.cycleworld.com/2011/11/03/20 ... irst-ride/ ) on the net, it will come to the U.S. in March 2012 and cost $5,400, a gr8 price , I thought it would be closer to what the Vespa GTS 300 cost ($6,000). The way I see it you get a city scoot that can tour .

Hopefully this will be the year for you and so many others in this situation. As someone who went a while w/o a job due to move xcountry (for spouses job), I know how demoralizing it can be to have trouble finding work. The one thing that helped me maintain my sanity was volunteer work in something I always wanted to do. It ended up being a good move b/c I got local references, experience and finally, a job. Hope you can find something soon!
I sat on the Tourer 300, I think (it was definitely a Tourer), and once again my ass wanted to be right where the front seat portion rises to become the back portion of the seat. It wasn't very comfortable.
But you ride a T-Max, don't you John? If you can comfortably ride a maxi, for sure you can ride Beverly.

Believe it on not, my Silverwing is actually kinda cramped for me. I'm a big guy, 6'3" or so, with long legs. So I tend to look for bikes that are said to be "too tall." A powerful, stylish, tall scooter sounds pretty close to perfect for me. Well, there's the minor issue of thousands of dollars, but that's just a detail, right?
Seriously, I need to sit on a BV350 before I make a decision, but I'm pretty psyched about what I've seen and heard so far. I'm just afraid that it's going to be even spendier than we've been led to believe.
^ I have not doubt it will be spendier. My guess is real close to Vespa Super300 (give or take even). Not metal but plenty of bells and whistles, good ones too.
edit: when will we get a match up comparison of the BV 350 and the Kymco P (is it 300 0r 350?)

The Kymco People GTs are real 200 and 300cc models, are pretty spendy themselves, and are even less long leg friendly than the BV Tourer I sat on.
I dream of [edit]Pegasus[/edit]. Every night. Except for the nights I dream of Fuji Rabbits.

If that's not a cue for peabody99 to insert a Genuine Cruiser reference, I don't know what is.
