Do people just bungie strap these onto their racks or what? Just carry over the shoulder? Some other way to mount it?

I wear mine over the shoulder and across my chest, with the bag resting on the seat behind me. Once in a while it'll slip to one side or the other, but I have the strap adjusted so at worst it'll just hang to the side a little, and it's easy to tug or shove back into place.

It's effectively my purse. Most days it carries my lunch, wallet, work keys/cards, my drawing tablet, and whatever else I'm shuttling back and forth to work and home. On road trips it carries my rain gear, camera, snacks, meds, tools, flashlight, maps, water, spare gas, etc. My TBOB has traveled almost as many miles with me as my Buddy.

Both! It may also fit in the pet carrier (underseat storage) or top case, depending on how packed it is.

Someone also recently said they'd strapped a pair together to make saddlebags!

I usually carry mine over my shoulder. I attach my video camera case to the strap at mid-chest, which is how I get my ride photos.

The average contents of my BOB:
Two 35mm cameras, usually 1 small rangefinder and 1 compact point & shoot
Extra film
Used film
Handheld video camera
Extra AA batteries and memory cards
iPhone battery packs
Memo pad and pen
MB patches when I remember them
Tissues
Bandana
Extra sweater or jacket
iPad (sometimes)
Large water bottle
Lip balm
Eye drops
2 tubes sunscreen (one for face, one regular)
Microfiber towel
…and there's room for more if it's not already too damn heavy!

The exterior pockets are great for anything you might need at your fingertips while riding. You don't have to stop and get off the scoot and fumble around the pet carrier for the lip balm or for a quick battery swap.

You MUST get one of these bags. It's been a well-kept secret both on MB and for many IPA competitors. I have one for my pistol gear, and one for my rifle gear. Have yet to get one for the scooter but plan on buying two for the trip to Amerivespa. They make great toolbags as well for those in the technical fields that hold up alot better than the rest of the canvas stuff from Matco, Snap-On or the like even.

I was shocked when I first saw this bag linked here about 6 months ago. I thought it was just a competitive shooter thing! Just goes to show that good things are universal

I actually have an empty 6-pack box in my pet carrier, to help keep containers upright and organized (plexus, seat cleaner, startron, my flashlight, pocket-size umbrella) it has ended up a little flattened against the wall with everything else in there, but it still works.

I'll have to confer with Lokky, though, over whether this would be super awesome for camping and such. How do the things in all the outside pockets not fall out?? Is it just that awesome? If we want to go camping, we're usually up for a 1 or 2 hour drive to the site.

My 'work' laptop (15") will fit in the TBOB if I force it, but my new 12" personal laptop fits just fine. I've taken to leaving the work laptop locked up at work rather than hauling it in a bigger bag.

OK, yes, I _did_ buy a computer to fit the bag. You gotta problem with that?

The pockets all have really good velcro covers, except for the end pockets which are intended for bottles and have adjustable velcro-secured collars. (There's also a secret flat pocket which is also velcro-secured.)

I bought one last May, and I love it. I use mine for my ostomy supplies, first aid stuff, food, extra water, iPhone, GPS, iPad, and a whole bunch of other necessary & unnecessary crapola. I recommend everyone should get one...or two.

I even had the Velcro pad embroidered in my BoSox font with my vanity plate name.

After reading your list, I remembered just how much more stuff I put in there then what I listed, and how much stuff I need to put in it for emergencies. It really is a great bag, and holds so much. I usually just carry it over my shoulder, but on longer rides, with more stuff crammed in there I think I'm buying myself another one as a Xmas present to myself and use them as saddlebags. I bought two at the 16.99 price for Christmas gifts. The 'everyday' price of $19.99 is still a steal.

I'm waiting for the rest of the 5-day promotion to see whether the Jumbo BOB goes on sale. These, IMHO, would make much nicer faux-saddlebags. My rationale: if you're going to go to the trouble of hanging saddlebags for an extended trip, they ought to at least be able to hold a tad more than 2x the TBOB. TBOB is a great small bag, but I could fill 'em quickly.

Unbelievablly, I just received the TBOB thru UPS. I only ordered it yesterday, and it's here today? How's that for fast shipping? Now I gotta make a new checklist to make sure I have everything I need for short & long trips. Still can't believe the price for something so heavy duty, pockets for everything you'll need, and stylish to boot. Now I need to go the the embroider to have 'Tommyred' put on the velcro patch on the side in the same BoSox font just like the other TBOB.

I was just coming here to post that my bags arrived, and they are a little smaller than I expected. I would have added to that, that I'm pleasantly surprised since I wanted one as range bag for my revolver. Also I would have said that I'm now still looking for a larger and cheap solution however. With that, you can probably imagine how happy I am to see this post!

Thanks for bringing this up again - I ordered some patches for my small BOB, plus that killer deal on Rockport riding boots (best price I've seen), plus an iPhone case that doesn't "blend in" with all my black bags - I won't "lose" my iPhone again in the depths of my bag!

I received my two large BOBs tonight. VERY nice! I plan to use them as saddle bags for my trip up to AV 2012 next summer! In the meantime, I'll find another use for them as well.... GREAT stuff!

You can probably wash them in Nikwax to make them much more water repellant.

One approach is to shorten up the straps all the way and interconnect the two bags, either straight across or criss-crossed, depending on how much length you need (strapped on top of the seat or underneath).

I started out with a single black bag for shoulder use, but I just bought two tan bags, but they're for Christmas presents (one already given away to the guy who bought me the scooter mug). However, I guess I'll try to play around with the straps as saddlebags before giving the other one away.

A decent fabric store will have 1" or 1.5" nylon webbing straps and various buckles, adjusters and Velcro. You can also buy rivets or snaps that can be attached with a hammer. I'd take a bag to the store and poke around in those aisles for a while.

I put the saddlebags together using common sense and no extra parts. Just extend the shoulder straps somewhat and bind them together under the seat using one of the velcro shoulder pads! Easy and effective.

I took pics but the USP connector to my camera appears to have crapped out so I cannot transfer them to the computer....

Got my Jumbo BOB in OD green a few days ago. I have been carrying it every day since. What a great bag, I've never seen a bag with so many pockets and the material and craftsmanship was much better than I was expecting for a bag that cost $30 plus shipping.
