Modern Buddy

Looks like Genuine is simply rummaging up leftover Blackjack parts, throwing them onto a 125 GY6 and trying to sell them off.
You could probably buy a hardly used Buddy 125 from craigslist for under $1900, spray it matte black, remove the mirrors and purchase the NCY front end for much less than Genuine's MSRP.

Thats a rather cynical way of looking at it. Of course you could buy a used bike for cheaper than a new one, and yes they may be trying to get rid of some of those performance part, BUT those are damned good parts. Add it all up and the price is a good one.
