okay I have been wanting to put the Buddy 125 Stage 2 Performance Kit on my scooter but I have heard that it can destroy the engine. I would have the dealer install it of course.
what are the risks kitting the scooter?
What are the advantages of Kitting the scooter?
Is it worth the cost?

Destroy the engine?!? There are some cheap as parts out there that are probably not good for the scooter, but this kit is pretty solid and I think if anyone here had issues with one, it was due to installation, not the parts.
However, you should be more stringent than ever about maintenance schedule (oil every 2K, larger service with valve checks every 4K). And if you're doing a lot of riding on the top end, pushing the engine, service should be more frequent.
The advantages: More power in the engine, increased top speed (maybe +5mph or so; results vary), some increase in acceleration and power on hills.
Worth the cost: Depends on what kind of riding you do. For commuting in the city, lots of short surface street trips, it may not be. It's up to you to decide if the performance gains are worth the added expense.

Too add to above^^^ I helped a friend install one on his buddy. To be honest, I just watched and helped him do it. He had never had a motor apart and I was a bike tech for years.Soooo.
Real easy to install if you are mechanically inclined. Its been reliable for him so far...1500 miles or so on it. Most "big bore" kits are quite reliable IF installed correctly and maintenance is kept up.
And as far as money goes? To me , after doing some truly expensive work on bike and car engines. It seems so "cheap" for the fun you get back. But cheap is relative,too .
