spring loaded seat

Opening my seat is aggravating.
First I insert key, turn handlebars until key finds next position then while pushing key downward reach around with other hand and lift seat (or it locks itself again).
For a scooter that is so raved about surely the Genuine Scooter Co. could improve this (or sell a kit).
I watched a rider on a Zuma hop off insert key and seat popped up effortlessly ,not a two hand thing.
The whole seat hinge and latch is too cheaply manufactured Genuine...FIX IT NOW!
