Battery Cable replacement

My connections have some corrosion, not much room to be cutting down and uncrimping the terminals doesn't seem to be an option w/o doing some damage. So I guess I need a new set? Can't find anywhere that carries replacements(scooterworks shows out of stock). I'm sure the length is buddy specific and I can't find any terminals like the ones on buddy(there are a couple unusual ones). What's my best bet here, keep searching scooter stores for a Buddy specific set OR go to hardware store and get supplies to make my own. If choice 2 what gauge is it? 4? And can I get creative with terminals or do I really need ones just like on there?

You're in Broward county FL? Fairly humid there so not surprised about the corrosion, but this is not an unusual kind of thing. Why not just clean them up?

Yes. My main worry is to get the bad spots (where the wires are crimped by the terminal) I will need to uncrimp them and they might not survive-the terminals might not survive being uncrimped and recrimped. And I have not seen replacements anywhere with the special bends they have. I need my scoot daily and can't afford to start taking the wires apart w/o having a replacement on hand. And I agree it seems this would be common, not sure why I can't find any good replacements.

Obviously you understand that it is not a good idea to dissemble, you are right not to. I've been told by 'experts' that's no way to do this, just use a small stiff brush in those areas nothing stiffer than brass or even a tooth brush to loosen the buildup. A mild acid solution or house hold vinegar, will help as well.
