Back to school shopping, including parts and a commuter bike

So, I know I've been off here a bit. That's ok, because I haven't been riding much on the Vespa either AND the Stella project fell through because I need a new top end for the P200e since it won't pass emissions. Smokes worse than the stage crew on a Rat Pack show back in the day! Well, that and I have just been granted the position of Technical Director at my old theater and have been putting in mad overtime to get them back to operational level.

But, hopefully this week, thanks to some lovely grant checks, I'll finally be back on a scooter. Although I'm gaining more love for my P200e every time I have to keep using my brother in law's Harley Sportster to get to work. Clunky, awkward bastard...

But, I may be in the market for a like-new Buddy 125 or similar Genuine auto for a commuter since my commute has pretty much doubled over last semester due to the new job. So, if you're in the Phoenix/Prescott/Tucson area, keep your ears peeled. Not looking for a gem, just a runner. Hell even a 50 will cut it since in town I won't hit over 40 anyways... at least not legally. Obviously I would prefer not to be caught on a 50 bone stock but if it's a good price it will keep the P200e fresh.

Well, I'm determined to get the P200 fit for daily driving, but we have my new position plus the fact that our lease is up at the end of March  I just can't spend another month in this crack haven that has become Mesa. They just fished a body out of one of our dumpsters and the police are literally here every night. There are cheaper and safer places in Phoenix, and I don't have to worry about having to keep a Mossberg by the door or if my bike or car will be there in the morning (already have had several attempts). So, sadly this means Amerivespa may be out of the question unless I cut the trip real frugal.

Whoooaaaa. :wha: Honestly, if that's the deal I wouldn't be so sad about missing Amerivespa if I were you! I mean, sure you miss out... but safer place to live tops that if you ask me. That is crraaaaaaaziness. Get a cheaper, safer place and use the spare rent and would- be Amerivespa funds to fix up your P200 and find you a neato Buddy :)

We are in between a rock and like 5 hard places with if and where to move, and if we can make it to what things this summer. Blah. I hate money.
