Blackjack pricing

Post by Scootagangsta »

My local shop has a 2009 blackjack with 10 miles fore sale for $2849.00 is that a good price? Currently have a 125cc buddy, is it worth the upgrade?

as new with warranty yes as used with no warranty no. If a already owed a 125 and was happywith it I'd just upgrade the shocks and a 161 kit
what did you trade the day for?

Yeah, new with warranty this is a good deal. I would say, considering the retail was around 3500.00

That's in the ballpark of what I got mine for (w/warranty). I traded in my husband's 2006 Vespa LX150. My Buddy 125 had given up the ghost (engine was shot) and I really wanted another Buddy, so it worked out well for me.

I got my first one for $3000. It had 1000 miles on it, but it was actually with warranty. It was used from the dealer, and they hadn't triggered the warranty paperwork yet.

My second one, last year after the first one was stolen, was $2700, with no miles on it.

What's interesting is that $2700 is what I got from my insurance, because the insurance company called that dealership to inquire on the worth. So they were completely aware of how much I was getting from my insurance. :)

i think its worth it if you want the styling and suspension / brake upgrades. need the extra top end and climbing ability of a 150? sure, that too. want a really cool looking scooter? ditto

but otherwise i say no. meaning your 125 does pretty well, and unless selling it to cancel out some of the cost of the "upgrades" ( buying a nearly new BJ ) you could upgrade a whole lot on your 125 for a lot less then $2800.

so if you LOVE the styling (primary reason for purchase imo considering the performance upgrades can be had cheaper without buying a new scooter) are willing to sell your 125, and just flat out want the coolest 10in wheeled scooter on earth, i say go for it!

but if you're keeping the 125, like it good enough already, are expecting a HUGE jump in performance / handling, and don't care much about the styling of the BJ, i say it is NOT worth it
