Snow riding

So finally winter decided to grace us in Virginia with some real snow. Since the weather had been clement I had not gone through with plans to make a set of studded snow tires but I just had to try out my Heidenau tires in the snow!
Went for a bit of a low speed ride and I am really impressed! Kept good handling even on fresh snow (only about a couple of inches down mind you) and decent braking (mainly the back of course).
I would have stayed out and surprised some fast food drive through employees but it is currently still snowing and visibility was an issue. Either I ride with the visor partially up, getting snow in my eyes, or snow would get packed on the visor and cause it to fog up really quickly.

Yep, I bought them right after I lowsided on wet cobblestones at a roundabout and the K58s were indicated as having better bad weather grip than the 61s.
They also saved my arse last week when I had to do an emergency stop in the rain to avoid hitting the back of a car without working brake lights!

I veto snow!

We keep getting tiny amounts after a very large storm a few weeks ago. It's never enough to really screw things up, but the side streets can be icy and any day it could snow, I don't ride, which of course stinks :P.
