I recently got this great app, iTimeLapse Pro and took it out for a test ride. You can customize it several different ways, including frame size, frame capture frequency, synchronize music, and picture quality. It's very easy to learn and use. I mounted my phone with the Ram Mount "X-grip", and between the mount and the OtterBox case, it holds incredibly well in direct wind and some very rough roads. Here are my first two sample videos I made...

First was a quick run out of the city, heading for a scooter tag photo about an hour away, but my trip got cut short when the torrential rains began.

The second clip was my ride into work this morning...

More to come!!

Is the variable on the timed "jumps" adjustable?

The top one jumped "too far" at times, but its a cool effect.

Very cool! It definitely takes care of the biggest issue I have with shooting video on the scooter—vibration and jitters. (Oh, I could just get a new, expensive camera or a helmet mounted one, but, no, don't wanna.)

Can you post a photo of your RAM setup for the phone?

Another thing I didn't mention, it's easy to take the iPhone off for a pit stop without someone getting cute and swiping it.
