Been awhile, but the Buddy is back in action!

After struggling with a problem of lost power, failure. to start, engine not idling and randomly dying on me, my Buddy 125 just wouldn't start. I had done all sorts of things to try to figure out what the problem was, but with no luck. I even took out the jet to take a look. It looked fine. I put a Seafoam through it numerous times. Replace CDI, spark plug, air filter, fuel filter. Nothing worked.

After giving up and letting the scooter sit for really over 6 months, I finally got around to the last thing I wanted to do, which is to take apart the carb and giving it a deep clean.

Guess what? Once I got some fuel into the engine, it started right up and runs like it did when it was new! Actually, better!

Hooray! Back in action!

@Skootz Kabootz - I saw your thread, there is hope! I had some weird rides where I had to limp home. If I let off the throttle to much it would die. All sorts of weird stuff. My recommendation is to just bite the bullet and clean that carb.

As for good riding weather, my house is at 74 today from just ambient temperatures. The windows are open to cool it off. I think it got in the mid 80s today. I saw some posts of winter riding and had to remember that in some areas it is still snowing. Dang!
