Sym USA site offline?

Post by Swordsman »

I know this isn't Genuine related, but has anyone taken a look at the SYM USA website lately? It's totally FUBARed. The link header won't load, and most of the pages are simply missing. Is this an omen?

Have a look.

With ©2008 in the footer I don't think that site has been maintained for a long time.

Oops, missed that.

They are still being sold in the US though, aren't they? Weird that they'd let the site fail if they were.

Ooooooh. Man, you'd think that they'd put "Sym" somewhere in their title.

I guess what's really crazy is someone is still paying hosting fees for that old site.

I work for a SYM dealer. They are alive and kicking.

I wish they would get a handle on their parts prices though.

the sym-usa domain is probably owned by Carter Brothers in AR. I t was kept pretty current until some time after the fire, when it reverted to what you see today. To the best of my knowledge, neither SYM or Alliance has any control over what is shown there.

Parts availability, at least, has improved. I know someone who was recently at the warehouse and found a lot of parts that were unavailable until recently. They've stocked it up.
