Been a few years.
Hello everyone. it's been a few since I've been on the board. Figure activity is picking up now. I've had both my buddy's for 3 yrs now. about 3000 miles on both. Just minor issues over the yrs. Stator, relay. things of this sort. Now Ive noticed on one of them it doesn't want to slip out of gear when you role off the throttle. just engine brakes down until the very low speed. I would guess this has to do with the roller bearings or something. If I searched the board I'm sure I'd find something about it. Lazy though. Any quick thoughts of whats happening. Great to see the board is still alive and well!

Yes that's correct below 10mph. Just seems like taking longer to slip into neutral. I'll check it against the other Buddy and see if they both do it around that speed.
Thanks

I'd never heard of anyone having stator issues with that low of mileage. Do you store yours outside? Just wondering what would cause a stator to go out that early.chokepuppy wrote:...Just minor issues over the yrs. Stator, relay. things of this sort.....

The previous owner had stored it outdoors for about 2 years prior to my purchasing it. This may have been a factor.I'd never heard of anyone having stator issues with that low of mileage. Do you store yours outside? Just wondering what would cause a stator to go out that early.

I never paid attention, but today I noticed that mine does that too, and it always has done it. (The new one I just got does it too). In my semi-non-mechanical view, I'm thinking it might be something like the variator widening or narrowing as the case may be, since these are twist and go.chokepuppy wrote:Yes that's correct below 10mph. Okay, I just admitted that I am semi-non-mechanical, so don't blast me too bad if that is way off course. I can change my own oil, and adjust my rear brake, but that's as far as I've gone with the scooters.

How do you like your Majesty? I used to have one and thought it was a really nice bike--lots of get up and go.

Really like the majesty. Wife and I two up on it often, so much storage! How do you like your Majesty? I used to have one and thought it was a really nice bike--lots of get up and go.
I also do a 100 mile round trip commute on it a few times a month. Nice bike.
Spent some time in Rome last month and seem pretty popular there.
