I've been asked questions about my scoot, as everyone is, what other 'Brand' scooter available in the US does PGO produce, of course other than Genuine?
Does anyone know?

i recall reading about ONE other distributor of a PGO scoot or two but the name escapes me. it was a somewhat minor player in the States if i recall correctly. might not even be around anymore here
i think Genuine is most likely the only distributor of readily available PGO scoots worth mentioning. just tell folks they're an international company or w/e. i mean do they want to here "oh yes they work with Honda" or something?

don't tell anyone but I have been told they build some of the smaller/medium scoots for Honda & Yamaha
makes sense...lots of branded products are subcontracted to proven manufacturers instead of tooling up to do it themselves

The economics just don't make sense. Unless other countries adjust their environmental/labor laws to match ours, or we adjust ours to match theirs, it'll remain cheaper to make them overseas.

Years ago, one distributor in the US (Utah, I believe) imported and sold a small quantity of PGO BuBus (Buddys). There are also some in the US that came in via Canada.
But those are few.
Currently, there are no non-Genuine PGOs for sale in the US.
I've never heard that PGO builds for Honda or Yamaha. SYM used to build for Honda, and PGO got its start building Vespas. ("PGO" is a bastardization of "Piaggio.") Kymco builds engines for BMWs.
