Roller weights weight on 125

My buddy 125 had the roller weights come out and destroy the belt leaving me stranded. Luckily I was able to get back home, now I have 2 options: should I just replace the roller weights and the belt or go ahead and get the Ruima Racing Variator from provo for $99, plus the cost of the belt. What would I expect to pay for just stock rollers and a stock belt? Any feedback on how much this new variator changes the ride would be appreciated as well as if there is anywhere else that offers it cheaper or inclusive with the belt. Thanks!

The Prima rollers are pretty cheap, $12 or so/set of 6.
A stock belt is around $35.

The belt is always separate. The variator will come with one or two sets of rollers, but they may not be what you want.

I'm not familiar with the Ruima variator; most Buddy owners I know who've upgraded get the NCY, which is solid. Performance gains vary quite a bit by your setup, though. I think the NCY also comes with a stiffer clutch spring, which helps out, too.

Many of us have the Dr. Pulley variator and have great results. It's about $100 at Buggypartsnw.com. This site also has some great tutorials that are basically done for buggies but apply to scooters or GY6 motors as well.
