1000 Miles!

So, I was lamenting the traffic and ever present red lights on the way home. My gym was once again too full to work out comfortably (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it...), and everyone was an idiot on the road.

I was a little low on gas, and knew I'd have to fill up tomorrow no matter what. I figured I'd get it out of the way today. Just as I rolled into the gas station, wondering how gas went up $1 in a month, I looked down and saw...1000 miles!

Dorky milestone, but hey..

Nothing dorky about it; that's one of the big ones!
I can almost picture where I was when it happened to me....

I have no idea where I was 9000 miles later, though. ;)

It was in front of Andy's and my old apartment, actually. :)

reached it on the 2009 Piaggio BV 250 I owned last year; reached it on the 2009 Genuine Rattler I recently owned; soon to reach it on the Buddy 125...I'm anxiously awaiting it; stupid bent wheel

I'd mock you but I know your Mother hasn't been up to riding it a ton and you're too tall for it :P.

Maybe at this rate she'll have the last one under 3k miles. Though 'rare' they pop up a lot on CL around here, brimming with chrome and accessories, with 200 miles on them.

yeah i am going to try to ride it more. and by "try" it won't be hard as i am virtually around the corner from my mother atm. i can keep the scooters side by side. which is what i intend to do

but its not my scooter and i don't ride other peoples scooters. even family. so i'll just keep on pretending i'm providing a service for mom when in fact i am having a blast twice week riding the hills of San Marino and streets of Pasadena on a little black scooter :helmet:

longer then usual commute yesterday had me on my Agility for 50 miles, though. i must say i was glad to be on it. it does fit me just so. most likely the way a Buddy is oh so perfect for a somewhat smaller person

I'm 5'7 and a muscular 175, and buddy fits me just great.

Another scoot for those of you that are taller seems to be Kymco. The Sportique shop owner in Boulder loves his People 50.

I hit 1,000 a couple weeks ago too. Actually.. it was the day AFTER the bf and I went up to Burlington for the ECU plug-in part of the 1st service. On my way to a meeting this morning I hit 1234, no time to take a picture though, traffic was crappy and I was running late :(

You should absolutely take a pic at 1235.8. Total math geek mileage.

I am always a little jealous of those who manage to get pics of their mileage. I always get so caught up in riding that I miss it, no matter what grand milestone it is.

We had a small group when Skootz hit 20K on his Buddy. Kind of hilarious because we kept waiting for it, waiting, looking at him to see if he was close so we could pull over and get the pic.
