I've been putting about 2 ounces in the tank (where else?

) every other time I fill up. Is that about right, because I don't think you should be putting the whole can in at once?

Definitely don't put the whole can in at once. I only put couple seconds' worth in, and only when it seems like it needs it.

I assure you that's about right. Even one ounce.
As for Seafoam itself I like to put a couple of ounces in every so many months. No hard and fast rules. Just as preventive care. I believe POC Phil, a prominent scooter dealer in Cleveland, once wrote he has owned and rode over 300 bikes in his day and using Seafoam not one ever needed a carb rebuild. Same goes for his customers, for the most part. Just passing along info as I understand it.
As for myself my mther has a Blackjack I tend to and has just under 1000 miles in just under two years. Not a lot of miles, and it has sat some and quite often. "Old gas?" Maybe not too old, but a couple months old, sure. And not run much. Longish story short when I am with the bike I have used Seafoam in it several times and it runs like a top. Just had its first service, no issues with the fuel system whatsoever.

That is way more than you need to use. An oz. every once in a while would be more than enough, unless you hardly ever ride.

I pop a squirt in every several tanks when I remember. I figure it might help get out any 'mung' in there.
Also use it in the Zuma, which may sit for weeks at a time, and the car, which is probably doomed but never fails to start!

someone needs to compile all the seafoam threads and sticky it.

I just heard a radio commercial saying SeaFoam is on sale at NAPA Auto Parts for $6.48 until the end of the month. It looks like a nationwide sale.

I fill up several gas cans and use 1 oz per gallon as a preventative & occasionally use 2-3 oz as a cleaner...good stuff; wish it also worked as an ethanol treatment so I only had to use 1 product

I use a couple of ounces once every few months, added to a full tank. I've repurposed a dosage cup from some kid's cold medicine for measuring out the proper amount. This post made me think twice about the idea of putting it in with every tank:

That would be a lot of threads. But maybe it would cut down on the same thread happening over and over.

FWIW I'm a pro-Seafoam rider.

The directions on the can look like 1-2 oz per gallon. I got a measuring cup at Walmart that shows ounces well, so I don't have to guess how much I'm putting in.

I run a can through(it takes several fill ups) every 3 months or so. I DO use an ethanol treatment(Stabil, Startron) every tank.

I use Sta-bil with gas fills for the ethanol issue. The Sea-foam I give the 2oz/gallon dose for fuel system cleanout. Not both together. For measuring I tried the medicine dose cup which I found amount was off. What gives an accurate amount is the oral dose medicine syringe that is labelled in mls or oz. 30ml=1oz. as reference. The sea-foam has been fantastic my scooter after years of hibernation seems to be performing better than I can remember it had so it must be doing something good. Never used it before but now plan on continuing.
