Easter Sunday Riders

Post by JHScoot »

So any of you taking your scoots around this Easter? Family, friends, picnic, church services? Have a nice riding day planned? Maybe you will dress as the Easter Bunny and ride through town tossing Easter Eggs at kiddies? And adults, as we never outgrow fun times, do we.

I think an International model would make a great EB ride. I mean, they're already painted up like easter eggs! So, kids would just figure thats how the Easter Bunny rolls. 8)

So, Happy Easter, everyone. And one and all. And all that jazz. Leave your ride reports for this Sunday and Easter Festivity stories itt.

And if a kid asks about your International this Sunday just tell 'em it's what hatches from an easter egg. If you wait long enough. :D

Happy Easter, eveyone =]

Well, Lokky is scooting his butt over to eat with my family and I. Nothing fancy, mum is tired of cooking- she's a tax professional so this time of year, she always feels like she's halfway to death.

If I could, though, I think one year I will dress up a scoot, if I get one again. Richmond has something called "Easter on Parade". It's not a parade, exactly- people dress up and walk around Monument Avenune, part of which gets blocked off for the thing. There's stands and things. Many many ladies wear their Sunday best- and try their hand at the most lavishly decorated Easter-themed Sunday hat they could possibly dream up. Also, a handful of queens show up in quite lovely or show-stopping drag for the event.

I never really knew about it, until I went one year in early college. I went with a few people from the company I was working for at the time. I was dressing up too... as the company's mascot, a giant yellow duck

I met the mayor that day. Crazy dude.

My bf's mom is meeting us at our place before we go to meet my family for brunch... I think we might take the bikes and have her ride on the back of his with one of my spare (up to date) helmets. It's supposed to be, well, the nicest day in the last week, and likely the nicest day in the coming week as well.
I decided to go forward with painting up the scoot just in time for 5 days of rain! Perfect timing, I won't feel like I need to rush to get out and ride, the paint/top coat will have plenty of time to cure before I have to throw the panels back on.

Well, no special ride plans yet, tho I am sure we will get out -- but I did get a new "Easter bonnet" today, a new AFX modular helmet! Love it already and I will be dressed up in my finest (gear) tomorrow!

Um... I'm going to my parents' (a few miles away) for dinner. I'm bringing corn. I will be riding the scooter there and back. Not really all that interesting or special, really. I'll probably stop somewhere to go for a walk, since the gym will be closed.

Addendum: apparently, my dad, sisters and I are going to Maymont park in the middle of the day, possibly with my aunt and cousin, before dinner. HOW we are doing this and WHY I am not sure. While the gardens will be gorgeous, Maymont is huge and hilly, and I am in a wheelchair

Sounds like they have some fun plans for you and the chair.

Better be prepared!

Ugh. Could not have made it even if not impromptu. Sounds nice, though. Should be a beautiful day for it.

Are you referring to Wilder the bear killer? Speaking of which, I'd be careful around Maymont... the new bears have surely heard of the previous bears fate.

my scoot is in the shop awaiting a new front wheel & possibly a new front tire, ssooo...I will ride my 'new to me' 2009 Yamaha V Star 650 today; if it warms up @ 6am I will ride it to work (healthcare employee) and if the shift change doesn't make me too tired I will have a nice ride after work later today

Yup. I saw at least 2 drag queens walk up and want to hug him in the few minutes I was around him, he complimented them on their attire. I'm pretty sure he didn't realize they were queens and they were totally trolling him. Looking back, now that the term 'trolling' has been coined, it's pretty funny.
