My riding pants slip on my scooter's seat

Post by davidscooter »

Hi All,

I just picked up my first pair of armored riding pants, and it's immediately obvious that they don't grip the scooter's seat all that well (the pants' outer shell is made of some nylon/aramid-type thread mixture, which is inherently kinda slippery).

So, as I'm riding, my butt is sliding on the seat whenever I brake or hit a bump. Any ideas on how to add some helpful friction to prevent this? I thought about putting textured friction tape on the seat, but are there nicer-looking ways to fix this problem?

Thank you everyone,

David

Hi Pete,

The seat cover solution worked. Cheeky Seats sent me some swatches of the various seat cover fabrics, so that I could test the friction between the fabrics and my riding pants. The faux leather has good grip. The seat cover arrived within a week. Problem solved.
