The brake light on my Buddy 125 doesn't light-up when I apply the brakes until I have them mashed! Can you adjust the brake lever so that the brake light comes on sooner:?:

You say "brakes" and "them" are both the front and rear having problems?

Yes both brake levers activate the brake light late. I wanted to make the brake light come on sooner for safety!

Are your brakes themselves adjusted properly? How much pressure do you need to apply to get the scooter to stop? How much movement is there in each brake lever?

There is a little trigger/switch in the lever mechanism that triggers the brake light. I believe it's an independent adjustment from the actual adjustment of braking strength. I don't, however, know how to adjust it.

Wow, I can remember things from 2007! :)

mattgordon, who did the fix in the first link, is still around and may be able to give some advice.

Also check out the Parts Manuals, which have some exploded diagrams that may help: topic17349.html
