I've heard several mechanics say that new Buddys sometimes have junk in the gas tank which ends up in the fuel tap and carb. Are you doing anything special to restart it, or does it just start right back up with the electric start?

Specifically when is it dieing? When you come to a stop, while accelerating, randomly, or right after you start it?
My Vino has had some problems but 95% of it was due to there not being enough engine coolant. It will still rarely die at a light now which I think is due to the idle being set too low.
Another possibility for you is bad/old gas if it's been sitting around for a while on its first tank of gas.
