Kawasaki of Santa Barbara, the local Genuine dealer is having another blow out sale of old Buddys. $2K for the 150, and I saw a Pamplona in the ad. Is resistence really futile, and will I add to the collective? I guess I'll find out Saturday................

If I found a Blackjack around, I would try and justify it by any means!
That's a great price for a Pamplona.

EDIT: oh and ts, you need to do it. at that price and considering resale, its almost a free scooter. or at least a really cheap one!

I'd do it in a heartbeat. Great deal.
Edit-I would ask WHY the lady is selling the Sym. Otherwise sweet scoot. Me likes.

NoHo Scooters just got in a used Blackjack and a Pamplona. I think under 100 miles on both.

When I got there the Pamplona had been sold, and the price on the Italia and St. Tropez was now $2,400....with an OTD of $3K under msrp, but not that good of a deal. Back to Craigslist.........maybe a vespa....a couple of LX 150's are going between $3 and $3.5K.

What gets me was the $2K price was in THIS WEEKS Photo Ad, the weekly auto sales magazine. So from thursday, when it came out, to today (3 days), they upped the price $400. That is messed up.....and on a 2009 model, I'm only gonna pay tax and doc, not shipping and setup. So if I got the price they said in their ad, and just had tax ($155) and doc (who knows but it should be under $100) I should have gotten out of there for under $2,300.....so the extra $700 is something I'm not willing to pay.

So they want 3K for a '09 150? That's not a bargain, no. imo these leftover deals should favor the buyer. Thats just a regular discount price if it were new, almost. Pretty sure they were going for less when they were blowing 'em out to make room for the 170's

Definitly they were going for less up here where I live before the dealer had to close. My 125 was $1,999 and I belive the 150s were going for $2,499.

so the ad is in the local trade paper again this week, and the price is $1,999 wtf? I don't know whether I should just call them up and say $2,300 OTD, or just fergeddaboutit........

could it be a typo? I'd go in with the add if you really wanted the bike....

Ii'd make them a $2600 offer and tell them to take it or leave it. Well, at least "call me if you can do it."
This is about what dealers were asking for the 150's when they were clearing 'em out. I recall reading a lot of near $2800OTD deals, too.
I mean, are they going to continue with the powersport pricing practices? It's like when I first bought my Agility a local place had it for "$999." I went there and it was $1000 freight+prep. I was lectured about how it came "all the way from Taiwan." The OTD was the MSRP+tax+lic. Scooter shops sell them for the same, so where was the "sale?"
Ended up getting one for $1600OTD with just a bit more investigation and research.
Don't let 'em drive you crazy

I say if the business is deceptive from the get go with their pricing you're better off taking your business elsewhere. Who knows what shenanigans they would try to pull over on you later.

They get prosecuted for that kind of deception in our state.
