I have real problem with helmet fit. Either my head is growing or the helmets are just not right fit from the start. I keep develoing pressure points above my ears. It happened with HJC medium, Scorpion Exo 400 large....I am considering Vemar VSRev. But I am not sure it will fit me either. I saw a 3/4 SKQI but they are said to be medium oval ...this is getting to be really frustrating......

I recently purchased a Vemar CKQI full face w/removeable chin bar from motorcyclegear.com. It is definitely more oval than my 'old' Fulmer full face. On my head it's a bit more loose than I would like, I think I should have ordered a size smaller. But their website said that this particular helmet runs a bit small, so I ordered a size larger than my Fulmer. (my Fulmer is a L, the Vemar is an XL)

My other 'issues' w/this Vemar helmet are that there isn't nearly as much padding inside of it and the amount of road noise is annoying.

I find myself wearing the older Fulmer most days. But, since I bought the Vemar on closeout and only paid $49 for it, I'm not really bitching. It is smaller (I know that makes no sense since I just said that it's actually a size larger than the Fulmer, but it has a smaller 'footprint.') and more light weight than the Fulmer. And now I have a second helmet, if ever needed, for a passenger.

I was just talking with my husband about it and both of our EXO-900s tend to cause soreness around the crown of our heads. Here's the time frame:

After about an hour or so it happens, so we stop, take off our helmets, stretch, and get gas for the scooters.

After that it's 45 minutes to an hour for a couple more time periods like that, then it gets down to maybe 1/2 hour before it happens.

BUT, this only happens on long trips, like our annual 187 mile (one way) trip to the coast to visit relatives. On my rides around town, which are generally about 20 - 30 minutes at a time, it never happens, so I would have to say this only happens maybe 2% of the time that I ride.

To be honest, I forgot all about it until you mentioned it!

Now if I goof and forget to take my hair clips off before putting the helmet on, all bets are off--USUALLY I don't even feel it, but occassionally it becomes uncomfortable.

How frequently is it happening for you?

I have more issues when I wear ear button phones (GPS) and telephone) under the helmet. I seem to have wide area right above my ears which end up being pressure points. The longer distance I ride the more chance there is that it will start hurting. Very frustrating .

I recently got a GMax brand helmet and it has removeable padding for the neck and ears. It also is a comfortable secure fealing and fitting helmet and has a built in flip up eye shield. Fit and comfort a big difference from my older scooter helmet.

You should probably get this helmet.

Haha I wish. I could not stop laughing at this when I saw it. I think it would be more acceptable to be worn ironically by somebody on a scooter than a guy on a motorcycle who's trying REALLY hard to look scary.
