I just saw this on a local dealer's facebook page and was very impressed:

another way to go about it is to stop by most sign shop and ask them for a custom decal using reflective vinyl. most places will be able to cut out any shape/design you want as long as you provide them with a vector (illustrator .ai or .eps) file.

the cost of reflective vinyl goes for $7-8/foot to the shop, FYI. So you'll probably end up paying a little bit less or about the same price as buying them from the site, but with your specific design.

I actually made a joke about doing my scoot up in zebra stripes when I was painting the side panels!
That's awesome!

...and now I just might do it. Mine won't be reflective-- but it will still be really cool, and I can always take it back off if it ends up looking dumb, or if I do end up ordering some black reflective stuff to put on there!


EDIT: You can also get vinyl by the foot in a bunch of different colors and styles, including reflective, from Harris Decals (about $20 for 2x4 feet/8sqft of black reflective, +$8 shipping). Or from any number of ebay sellers out there. Cutting stripes with an xacto is easy peasy, especially when you don't have to have straight parallel lines!

I don't actually. You may have to call around a bit. Some shops have a "minimum" job size and will probably say no, but you may be able to find a smaller shop that will do it. The key is to make it really easy for them to do it by providing them a clean .eps vector file.

Those are pretty cool. I have some red reflective tape trimming out my Agility. It's been said by some "on bike" hi vis is not really effective, but from my experience I beg to differ.

I agree. The first thing I did when I got my scoot was to put some reflective pin striping on it. This is in the dark with the camera flash only- 1/4" 3M reflective tape. I have since added some to the headset.
(There's some on the back too, but you can't see it from this angle... or it wasn't on yet in this picture-- not sure.)



I've had several people stop next to me on my way home at night and compliment me on it, usually something along the lines of "You're really visible with those lines, looks great!" Also, silver reflective tape on the silver Buddy is almost invisible in daylight, so it didn't clutter up the look at all.

EDIT: I remember someone with a BlackJack that got the black reflective 3M tape that did something similar to mine-- which is why I did it in the first place, and they pointed me to where I could get the tape from... but I don't remember who that was, and I can't find the thread right now.

While I think the reflective factor is pretty good, I'm just not digging that zebra pattern.

I agree. The overall effect is sweet but zebra just ain't my thing. How about a tron wrap. That I would buy without a second thought.

Yeah, this is the front of my scoot, also under flash. When not "lit up" it literally looks like ordinary red trim that blends in well, or is not noticeable at all, for that matter. At least not as "tape."



Mirrors, mirror stems, blinker housing, leg shield, front forks all get the treatment. In the rear a thin strip under the "Agility" logo on each side of the faring, a thick strip along the muffler, rear mudflap, and the rear rack is decked out. Which looks like this during the day and under normal lighting, as does the rest. Not garish at all imo:

The Zeeba is awesome! Looks great both at night and in the light!

This post led me to a lot of "Scooter tuning is not a crime" vids. I guess in Germany it is a crime.......... And I like the checkered flag reflective kit.
