This has been around for a while but they seem to be getting closer to production. You lose the step-thru but gain gobs of space.

Not sure where it's to be produced.

Interesting. Sounds like a winner if they keep the price reasonable and reliability high. Choosing Aprilia dealerships isn't confidence inspiring though.

This is brilliant. I so want. Better yet, I want it available as a kit. If I could fit something like that to my MP3, I think I'd have the ultimate utili-scoot. I hope the company does well, this is very innovative!

Before I got my Buddy, the Yamaha C3 was a serious contender. I was never able to find a dealer around here that had one for me to try. Had I been able to, I wonder what the results would've been like.

How long did you have that scooter? And did you use it for delivery or do you just like the additional ton of storage?

Had it for 2 years, rode it through a Minnesota winter (coldest was -10 w/ a 22mi commute). Died mostly due to my unskillz at the time as a mechanic and no proper place to work on it. (damp winter air will kill an exposed piston/cylinder even if the bike is covered) ...2 months sitting...

The bike was very comfortable, with the padded back rest and foot pegs.
Never did do deliveries, but i could carry crazy amounts of stuff. I used to fit a whole months worth of groceries into the back, and still have room to spare.

My only real complaint with the bike is that the valves moved around a lot. they needed to be adjusted every 1.5-2k. of course that was probably due to me riding mostly WOT.

Well, almost perfect.

Despite my usual dislike of bulky, bulbous, non-step through scooters... knowing that it is giant amounts of cargo space in there making it look like that completely alters my view of it.

This is amazing. Un_designer is right, utility is sexy. And I want it.

I only have two questions: will I have to learn shifty, and will in come in purple?

Call me odd, but it just looks awkward and not very appealing I like the concept behind it, but this seems a bit...off. Looks like it handles lousy depending on what you load in, and it doesn't look appealing to boot.

For commercial use, I think a cargo bike is a great idea. I would hardly call this ideal to me. It just doesn't seem like it would be very enjoyable at all to ride

I'm pretty sure it has a CVT.. I can't see anybody bringing out a modern scoot that shifts, especially now with autos even beginning to makes inroads in the conventional MC world. http://powersports.honda.com/street/adventure.aspx

And yes, it does scream of practicality. I do so enjoy my old PC800 for its voluminous (and secure) storage but it's very unsexy.

This is likewise something you have to need, rather than desire.

They have a couple of these Peirspeed's for sale at my local scoot shop. Could be yours for the low, low price of $2400 (http://www.scooterworldkc.com/used.html). Looks like you can have any color you like, as long as it's red.
