Scooter is sick :/
Frankenelope sat for a few months, has a blockage in the fuel line.
I think that's all I can really say, I'm off the roads til I can get it fixed. :/ Also, the screw threads for one of the mirrors is stripped, what's the fix for that?

For the aftereffects of sitting too long, a good carb/fuel system cleaning is in order. Also the old gas should be removed and new gas put in. Does the scooter run at all? If it does you could try using some seafoam and see if that helps, but a good cleaning would be best.
For the mirror, is it the stem where it attaches to the scooter that is stripped? Or is it the round mirror part itself that is loose?

The I think it's the part where it screws into the scooter, not the part on the mirror. The female portion, not the male portion (so the one that's actually on the scooter).Skootz Kabootz wrote:For the aftereffects of sitting too long, a good carb/fuel system cleaning is in order. If the threads are stripped, you'll need to have a helicoil inserted. It's basically a metal sleeve that replaces the threads. Sort of a hollow screw with threads on the outside and inside. They make reverse-threaded ones, too. The helicoils are cheap, but you'll have to find a shop with the proper taps to do the insertion.

Aaron at NoHo can do it; I don't know if all the stuff is kept there at the shop. He fixed one that I goofed up in my transmission case.mia_mali wrote:Do you know if NoHo scooters can do it?ericalm wrote:If the threads are stripped, you'll need to have a helicoil inserted. They'll have to look at it first to see if it can be tapped.
