Advice on price on a 2007 Buddy 125

Post by ewanavenger »

Hello all,
Im very new here but I am quite interested in buying a buddy scooter. Locally I have found one with 5,000 miles on it and it is very well kept up. The price they have it listed for is about $2,000. Now this seems a little high to me but by no means am I an expert at all. What price about would you guys pay.

If it makes any difference it is black in color. Thanks in advance for your help.

You may want to try this one in the General Discussion area. This section tends to be for Stella/Vintage-ish riders and won't get much traffic. You will have more luck over there to get the info you need :)

No problem! Moved!

Have you done a CL/eBay price comparison? I know my dealer can hardly keep used Buddys in stock when he gets them. They fly out the door, so demand is pretty good.

It sounds a little high to me. IIRC, I sold our Buddy 125 (good condition, slightly fewer miles, but pink) for around $1850.

Do they have all the maintenance records? If it's had proper services according to the schedule, that alone would raise value for me.

I think its a little high. Not highway robbery high, but you could get one for less. As mentioned, check C/L and also kelly's blue book, and then make an educated offer. Don't forget to check San Diego's CL too.

Guess it depends on where you live, but I got my 2009 at 200 miles for $1800. I definitely think I got a good deal, but I also don't think I'd pay $200 more for a bike 2 years older with 4.5k more miles on it.

i just got my buddy 125 red in good condition for 1400, has just over 10k on it but it runs solid and has minor scratches here and there. also my electric start doesn't work and it could use a new rear tire and rear brakes. i probably paid a bit much but i dont feel buyers remorse at all. i couldn't be happier
