Buddy with EL Wire

Post by Zenomorph »

Hello everyone!

I've been making plans in modding my '07 Black Buddy 125 to have EL Wire circuit running across the sides of it's bottom chassis and along the border of the seat. This will all be connected to my battery, and I will be replacing either my AC adapter jack with a switch or possible the hazard light switch (As well, a genius made it so the hazards can only work if the key's in).

Now the real question is, is such lighting legal on the road?

Depends on a few things, but mainly what state you're in. There are various statutes regarding where lights are placed, their colors, blinking, etc.

Check your state's DMV site and see if you can search for laws on lighting.
