Modern Buddy

Surprisingly it didn't happen while parked in NYC I was actually just wheeling it out of my driveway, which has a car in it and some obstacles.

I was on the left side of the buddy and lost balance. I couldn't hold the weight of the buddy falling away from me (the oh, sh*t moment). Luckily there was a crate on the ground and the Buddy didn't hit the concrete, but rather fell most of the way, and landed on the crate. Basically it fell on the exhaust side, but didn't completely hit the ground.

When I started it up a minute later, it was sputtering a bit at idle, and I was wondering if it had something to do with the fall. After a 10 minute ride the sputtering seemed to die down though.

bummer!

Probably some fluids splashed around. take a quick jaunt, and if it's all good, it should be fine.

No damage I hope!

Lucky for the crate - Yes! For me I fell while painting from second floor roof and landed on a plastic trash can. Walk away - yea took me about '10' days before I was completely back in action. Hope your buddy continues back in action also. {my first fall also }

Yay for plastic crate heros! Probably just some gas got where it shouldn't be, or where there should be very little gas. If it has cleared up with some riding and/or time, it should be nothing to worry about.

Same here last month - some yutz knocked over my scoot in a parking garage, but my helmet and my passenger pegs took the hit. It was a little harder to start than usual, but it smoothed out after a couple minutes.

My first "tip over" happened when I pulled off the road onto loose sand, and I dropped the scoot trying to come to a stop. Disconcerting when it happens, but worse things will happen to you (and it) and you'll get over it.

Yep. It was happen to me a couple times. Luckily, the crash bars took most of the impact. I did felt like an idiot though.

I watched in horror as a woman dropper her SilverWing (at a standstill) and was pretty much pinned under it. Someone else had to lift it off her.

Dropping your scooter sucks. Dropping your 600lb. scooter… damn!

My first drop was in my backyard. Just a small battle scar nothing big.
thats when I realized 300+ pounds is heavy!

I pretty much did that with my son's R6, sshhh... (don't tell him) I was moving it in the garage and slipped, We didn't really go down but I was pinned between it and the stuff/junk I was trying to get around
I sat there trying to figure out what to do for what seemed tooooo long as I couldn't get my legs under myself to get us both upright without doing any damage to either of us......

How did you get it upright? Are you still pinned under it? Should we call for help?

This happened to me on the Stella, a scooter I can easily lift most of the time. I was pinned between it and an embankment. Some guys stopped to help me.

Had that happen 2 years ago as I was leading my scooter to its' new parking spot. I got away from me. Remarcably nothing broke (it happened on the grass). There was a small ding on the exhaust pipe and front break handle is now slightly curved which kind of makes it more convenient for my small hand. The plastics at the top of the headlight looked slightly misssalligned. I used the screwdtiver to loosen them and than realligned and tightened evetything back. The fan cover was cracked. I made custom cover out of gutter cover mesh and waited until first oil change. I than had my mechanic put the stock cover back on.Other then that no ill effects from this missadventure. At least not that I can tell. I am figuring after 2 years if there was anything it woud have surfaced by now or my mechanic wound have seen at the 1st oil change.
