Love the black one...with whitewalls and a black seat it would really look amazing.

Interesting enough, Genuine is dropping the white walls for all Stellas now.. ;)

There are just no decent white wall tires on the market. But back to our feature story... the black Stella looks great!

Looks sharp! Now if they only made it in an automatic! I love the look of the Stella but I don't care for the shifting. Done that before, now I enoy the twist and go.

The black Stella looks great! My husband and I were going to purchase two Stella's, but when I saw the Buddy St Tropez it was love at first sight and ride. He still got a Stella but I love my Buddy.

Ugh!! An automatic would totally kill the reason for having a Stella for me. The manual has more torque when you need it, better feel and is just simpler. Genuine has a good automatic in the Buddy. The Stella is made in the old P-series style, and I *really* hope they don't cave and try to convince LML to make an auto version of the largeframe.

Totally valid points, neotrotsky, but speaking as someone with wrist and hand issues (tendonitis, arthritis) , I think an optional twist and go would be pretty neat too.

I think both the black and the two-tone are pretty sharp looking!

That black looks good. Really good. Damn good!

Those grips are a HUGE improvement! I may need to pick some up.

Also glad the whitewalls are gone. They look nice, but didn't perform well. I tossed mine ASAP on both my Stella 4Ts.

While possible, converting the Stella to an auto wouldn't be easy. I'm guessing they'd have to design and build a new transmission from scratch to fit. That's not just rearranging the parts, but coming up with a design that works well. Also, adios spare tire. Battery might have to move…

If you've looked under a Stella, there's not much room in there for anything and a CVT takes up a lot more space than a manual!

I have a Buddy 125 and I love it. The Stella is my favorite design but I don't want to be bothered shifting. Just not my thing any more. I wouldn't want Genuine to replace the Stella with an Auto- gotta keep it true- but I would love an automatic version, I love the looks of the Stella, I love the things you can put on it- the rear rack with the spare tire- that you can't do with a Buddy. I know many people enjoy shifting and that's great. I rode a small MC where I had to shift and I've had many manual transmissions in cars. I just like the ease of an automatic. My perfect scooter would be a Stella with an automatic.

That's the engineer's problem...not mine! :P

My thoughts exactly.

I know a guy who has a Stella and won't ride it because of the shifter. But he loves looking at it. All he rides is his wife's 170i. If they made an automatic Stella, I know he'd ride much more. He loves the look of the Stella, but loves the simplicity of an automatic.

Ah, likes the look of a metal body and classic design, but wants a CVT. Wait, I know  . (Vespa LX150ie)

Looks nice and all but I like the "smurf" one most. You know the blue and cream one. LOVE the grips but detest the brown seat...

Or, they could bring over that LML Star Light with at least the 125 in it. :)

Not going to happen any time soon - or maybe not ever. To paraphrase Stephen Stills - if you can't ride the one you love, ride the one you're with  . In other words, ride what you can - now!

:fp:

I appreciate the simplicity and ease of the CVT while riding an auto. CVTs are really a clever design. Yep.

But shifting is a huge part of the Stella's appeal. And I appreciate the hell out of being able to shift when riding the Stella.

Different strokes, I guess. I like having different riding experiences and options.

yeah, I can go look at a Stella anytime I want, at the dealership, even when they are closed... I like the blue one, that is mine to look at till it is sold.

That all said, the shiny black is sweet, but I would install Darth Vader's control panel on it.
