Rear wheel wobble

My Buddy 125cc scooter was stolen and taken for a joy ride. She still runs but they clearly rode it over some rough terrain. I've got some wobble in my back tire now. It's only obvious once you rev the engine a bit and the wheel starts making a noise (sound is not coming from the transmission or engine) and a slight wobble is evident. I took the wheel off and the drum and the spindles look ok.

I want to take the axle out and the housing off but after removing the retaining clip for the axle and the bolts that join it to the transmission case the axle won't come out and the housing won't separate from the transmission. I am stuck at this point.

Any suggestions moving forward or what might have been damaged that would cause the wobble and would need to be replaced would be a huge help!

Sorry to hear the bad news.

There's nothing "serviceable" in the transmission. Maybe the rim is bent.

EDIT: I took apart the transmission of an old engine once. There's no way I was going to get it back together...
FWIW, the axle is pretty strong.

I think you need to take the final drive apart to get to the axle. Pull the transmission, drain and disassemble the gearbox.

Have you looked at the service manual and the parts diagrams?

But damage to the axle and in the gearbox is really rare. There would probably be obvious damage elsewhere. I'd check the rim and tire first.
