Amateur shade tree small engine guy here. I'm currently installing the prima 161 kit. My question is about the rings. The service manual states the beveled ring is installed in the ring land. When I inspected the rings included with the kit there is a chrome/shiny ring thats flat sided with very minutely radiused edges, second there is a all black ring with flat sides. And of course the oil control rings and spacer. Neither top rings appear to be bevel edged. In this thread it appears the the ring installed on top is beveled and is the dark colored ring . topic15228.html

Any ideas?

Also has anyone installed the thin base gaskets with the 125 head to bump compression? I'm not experienced enough to do this myself just curious.

This is a good write up. Its for a qmb139 50cc but almost all of it applies.
