Piaggio BV500
On a quest for Startron today, went to a scoot-bike-trike store...Saw a shiny new (?) Bv500, 2007 for $4399. Is that a really wow price???? Got the Startron and saw some nifty saddlebags for the scoot...$179, leather, waterproof (sorta) and a nice under seat fit. Still contemplating "bucket list" trip. Life is good....

I didn't notice, when I first read the post, that it is a 2007. Good point. I guess I'd be a bit concerned about things that can go bad from sitting years and years. I'm no mechanic, but would seals and certain gaskets dry out from sitting? And what about the carburetor--has there ever been gas in there and has it long since dried to gunk?
These may not be deal breakers...in fact may not even be relevent (again obviously I'm not a mechanic)...hopefully those that are more mechanically inclined than I will chime in and comment.

I guess it depends on how it sat. if it was fully prepped and had some fuel/oil in it and sat for a few years, I'd be concerned. if it was one they just uncrated and set up, should be wonderful.
if they still offer the full warranty, that's a good price. some with 5k miles still go for that much used.
